support It is day 12 of my diet but day day 5 after being weighed at SW. I really feel like eating some fresh bread with loads of butter on. Of course I haven't given in but I am feeling weak and it is only day 5! Yesterday as a treat for the kids, I bought a large bag of chips for them to share between them. I didn't intend to be lured by the smell of them and I put out three portions. Whilst doing this I ate some here and there. I worked out that at the end I had about 7 syns. Having 7 syns doesn't bother me but what does bother me is that I had no will power over those chips. Afterwards I really missed the taste of fried food. I have been so good for 2 weeks that I haven't had any fat at all! I have fried with Fry Light and I have had jam on toast etc.

I hope to have lost 2lbs at weigh in because that will be my weekly target achieved. If I can lose 2lbs a week I will be satisfied.

I know its hard> It will take a while before the cravings go but you know it will get easier. Why cant you save some syns and use a little olive oil. i think a teaspoon is about 1 syn. You could fry something.......but not chips of course as they take up too much oil. You could do that once a week. If you really think by doing that , it will start you off with wanting more then dont!!!

hun i just know what you mean ,it is so hard to give up or go without those foods that became attached to our hips thighs belly and well just about everywhere. i can give up things and go without them quite easily ,but my problem is the weight dont move ......i get so frustrated at times but i persevere hope you do too hun cos i know you can do it ,and if you can have sins on the slimming world diet then id limit yourself to a few sins not all just as a little treat but not too often , i treat myself buy make the time span between treats longer if you get my drift ,i dont tell my self i cant have it because cravings go into overdrive for some reason and can quite easily go out of control.

You are totally right! For me, I cannot deprive myself of something because I will obsess till I have it. With SW I can save my syns and have fish and chips once a week! My weight does not budge either and that is why I give up after a month or so. At my size you would expect it to drop off as it does with most people. I have come to terms finally with the fact that I am going to lose it slowly whether I like it or not, and that I need to change my way of eating. I am determined, with support that I will do this. For myself, but also for my kids so I can enjoy activities with them and teach them how to eat healthily. For my parents so that they do not have sleepless nights worrying over my health. For my husband who loves me to bits and still thinks I am sexy laugh however I know he would love a slimmer me. For me so that I can enjoy life a bit more and where nice clothes.
